Beechy started working here as a backpacker 4 years ago. He helped me build some of our shed extensions. He was such a good worker I said he could have a job here anytime he wanted… so over the next 2 years, as he travelled around backpacking, he would turn up for a few months every now and then. When it was time for him to go home to Wales, he wanted to have a go at building the Drifta range back home.. this below is what was on the website at that time. Mark made a good go of it, and built and sold about 80 kitchens, mainly the DCB’s and DPOS kitchens… but materials were a real problem, many just weren’t available over there, and we were having to send a lot of materials over.. this just wasn’t cost effective… so, now that beechy was right into “drifta”, he decided to come back to Aus and work for me full time as a manager. Before he left he set up our new EU distributer, Eric from Holland, and we are now exporting regularly over there...
I’d been desperately needing a manager for some time, and Mark has been awesome, so we’ve been very lucky to have him here. We’re good mates, go mountain biking, kayaking and running together, and he’s helping me expand Drifta past what I could do on my own...
So , Mark is handling all our drawer enquiries, and building many of them. if you send me an e-m enquiry, you will mostly get a reply from Mark. Just remember he is from Wales, not england, so don’t go calling him a pom :)
