The DPOS is a shorter version of the DPOR. This model was really designed to fit across the width of a trailer. For example it is the same size as the DSO, but is freestanding, and has a bit more bench space. Also great for tent camping, if you can fit it in your vehicle, say ute or troopy.

FOLDED UP - The Drifta Camping Kitchen works as a compact, robust storage unit, holding all your cooking and kitchen gear. A gas stove fits in the top, the draw below can hold all your cutlery and small handy items such as black tape, spare mantles or a pair of pliers. Under that is a shelf that can hold plates and cups. The next two shelves can store billies, frying pans, washing up tub, Drifta gas light box, telescopic gas light stand and anything else you need to carry.

FOLDED OUT - The Drifta folds out in about 30 seconds.(see SETTING UP) You now have over two meters of top bench space, central stove, garbage bag, draw, shelves - a complete kitchen! Your gas bottle can fit on one of the side shelves, or on the ground. At night a telescopic light stand can be fitted to the gas bottle to have a light directly over your cooking station. The Drifta 300 stands about 860 high, which is nearly standard kitchen height. No more bending over to wash up or prepare your meals.

CONSTRUCTION - The Drifta is constructed with Australian B.B grade marine ply. It has been pinned, glued and screwed making it extremely robust. It is coated with a clear industrial lacquer that forms a tough wipeable finish. Every Drifta is individually handcrafted ,and each has it's own construction number, corresponding to the order in which it was made, starting from the first box I built in 1995, and is signed and dated under the draw.

MODIFICATIONS - We do a lot of modifications, mainly to drop the shelf down for a stove with the griller, or for the coleman range of dual fuel stoves, or extra drawers, extra height etc.

DELIVERY - Drifta's can be posted anywhere in Australia, and are sent either with Aust. Post or a freight company. They are wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard and sent registered and insured. We usually have Drifta's in stock anytime and delivery takes about 3 days. Price for freight depends on location. see freight charges here

PAYMENT - can be made cheque, credit card, direct deposit or Money order. See contacts for details to arrange delivery or payment. All prices are subject to change and are in Aussie dollars, including GST.

The uses for the Drifta are virtually endless, and can be used by anyone whose away from home and needs to prepare and cook a meal.

Features of the Drifta

... All your camping kitchen equipment is stored in the Drifta box ready to go. If you come home from work Friday arvo to go fishing or camping for the weekend, you just need to throw in your Drifta, your swag and your esky. You don't have to go rumaging through your shed looking for all your camping gear.

... The Drifta Camping Kitchens doubles as your compact, robust storage unit for all your cooking gear (instead of having a couple of plastic tubs where everything is thrown in) and folds out to create your kitchen. This unique 2 in 1 patent pending design will save you space when packing your vechicle. You don't have to worry about stove stands, wash up stands, preparation tables etc.

... Camping can be great fun for everyone and a chance to get away from home and see part of our country. But what can be the most annoying and tireing thing about camping? Not being organised right. The Drifta Camping Kitchen lets you organise your camp and prepare meals just like you would at home. It's the only true mobile field kitchen on the market.

... Up until now in Australia your only choice to buy a so called "camp kitchen" was a fancy plastic fold up table imported from America, or cheap imitations from China. Now, with this unique Australian invention you can travel with the ultimate in camp kitchens. Whether you've stopped for a cup of tea, or are camping out bush for a few months, you won't believe how convenient and versatile the Drifta Camping Kitchen really is.
