Setting up the DRIFTA HORSE FLOAT KITCHEN

The DHFK bolts onto the side of most floats, either side, above the wheel arch. It's quiet light, so won't affect the suspension at all. It's the same depth as the wheel arch, so doesn't protrude out at all. It comes with a water proof PVC cover, colour matched to your float.

First, unzip the cover, unclip the front, which can then lift up on gas struts. This also provides a nice covered area, perfect for hanging lights etc. A leg is unclipped, attached to the drop down part of the kitchen, and lowered to a level height. The leg is adjustable to allow for different ground. This part, though not shown, is normally packed with your kitchen equipment, like stove , cutlery etc.

Once down, then you can fold out the next part. The right hand side lid folds out , with another supporting leg, to form the bench space.

A small flip over section on the LHS now folds out, to create a bit more bench space. You kitchen is now ready to use. All this gear is normally stored inside the kitchen , even when travelling. So once you open it up, it's ready to go.

All you have to do now is to hook up the gas, and sit a water jerry underneath for the water supply to connect to the pump. This now gives an extremely functional kitchen, with stove, sink/pump, 2 x large drawers, plenty of bench and shelf space. And it all folds away in less than a minute. Ready for next time. The kitchen is the focal point of your camp, and is in a much more practical place on the outside of the float. You can have an awning over the top also. This setup gives you more storage space inside the float, and keeps you much better organised when at horse shows. Also makes it easier to pack up from home, as your kitchen and equipment is already there, all you have to do is open it up.
