Hi Mark, This has been long coming. Unfortunately work got really busy so I did not have time to fit the drawers properly. Only over last couple of weeks have I done the proper fit for the drawers. They are mounted on the existing VW rail system, no holes had to be drilled in the van. It has come up very nicely! The seat 'folds over' really well to make a double bed. I have put some photo's up on the VW forum as well. Next week we will be it's first trip. We are heading 'your' way, a two week road trip to Wollemi and other places, fitting as much mountain biking in as possible.. Thanks again, Rients |

Hi Luke, Just a short note to say how happy we are with our Drifta draws and table. We took the 3 kids camping to the mountains over the holidays and it was a delight having so much extra storage space to organize our food, clothing and recovery gear. The fit and finish is second to none, internal space of the draws is massive and they slide so effortlessly unlike those other brands using heavy steel bearings. The simplicity in the design means I won't ever have to worry about having to readjust bearings to get rid of rattles.... there's nothing in the draws that can rattle in the first place. Being made with such precise tolerances they have the added bonus of also keeping dust out and the side wing kits are very handy as I'm able to stash recovery gear and first aid kits out of sight right near the door where they're easily accessible. After all the forums posts I read saying you should put the fridge on the left as they'll hit the door when you go to open them, I'm glad we decided to put it on the righthandside anyway. It's made it such a breeze to prepare lunch whilst on the move just open and slide the fridge out simulatenoulsy so the lid stays open resting perfectly on the door, pull out the table two thirds of the way and there's your benchtop at the correct height. A big thanks you to you and your team, keep up the good work and I'll be sure to drop in when we head up to do the Gloucester Mountain Man later this year. | Hi Luke, Just a quick thank you for the drawers you made for our Tvan. We covered 5000km over two weeks and the drawers which we did not fix in place didn't move , proved ideal for our needs and are a product we happily recommend. We had previously used the Track Trailers suggested plastic boxes under the bed area. Whilst they provide flexible storage they tend to get placed out on the hard floor area at stop overs. The drawers are easy to access, take up no outside space and offer secure storage. Your product would be a good one for Track Trailers to offer as an accessory. We do have a problem though. My wife now wants to come and discuss some other storage options she has in mind! Thank you to you and the Team for an excellent product that was produced quickly to meet our needs. Jeff |

Hi Mark, Just thought I would give you some feedback and a photo (campsite at Muloorina Station) of the completed unit (DCBC drifta car back combo) after a +6,000km trip in some of the dustiest and rough roads in outback Australia. Sydney (NSW), Gympie (QLD), Birdsville (QLD), Marree (SA), Cameron Corner, Bourke (NSW), Gilgandra (NSW) then home to Sydney. The storage unit and fridge slide you installed only a week or so prior went like a treat. The trip as you can imagine put it through its paces and never failed to impress. With all the dusty roads, the dust managed to get into every vent and crevice in our Nissan Patrol and will take me months to get it all out. The most impressive outcome of the unit was that due to the construction and design of the unit and not having any gaps in the drawers with the tight fitting to the outer frame the inside of the drawers never saw a breath of dust. Every time we pulled the kitchen or the tool drawer out there was never a need to rinse or dust off anything. We were so impressed how the unit managed to keep everything clean and dust free we continually tried to squeeze as much as we could in to it. My wife loved the drop slide and never had an issue reaching the top of the fridge to retrieve my beer :). Overall we loved the fit, design and the unit worked very well. Thanks again. It was a real bummer having to leave Woko National Park and return home. The kitchen unit is great!!! I give you a 9 out of 10 for your effort. I will tell you how you lost 1 point when we next share a beer. All is not lost. (I think bob is a tough marker! :) Anyway we made time whilst at Woko to take the attached photos which I also sent to Garrie & Phil at Carry Me Campers. Garrie was interested in seeing the end result. The new kitchen unit is a very important component in our new camper setup. Next we have to modify the towbar or boat trailer so that we can tow the boat with the camper on board. This may have to wait to early next year as we plan to go on holidays very soon. | g'day Luke, well my wife and I took the Landcruiser out for a week in the Victorian Mountains, once your guys had fitted that two drawer system. As you probably expect, it is excellent! Certainly made packing and finding stuff so much easier , especially with the horizontally split tailgate. The drawers worked a dream,, they slide beautifully, no rattles, no issues whatsoever, and the Drifta table is great. Just returned from 2 weeks in Central Australia and the drive home via the Oonadatta track. Draws worked a treat in tough conditions and we couldn't believe how much we could fit in the back of the Rodeo. In the middle of cleaning off all the dust we were wondering what are the best products to use to clean the carpet and keep the draws lubricated? (there feels like there is a slippery substance on the surface of the wood). P.S Happy to be a reference for your product in Melb if anyone wants to sight the draws. The drawers that we got for our Ford Ranger last year survived the trip to Birdsville where we got washed out, then on to Wanaaring shooting for a week (all in the wet). I have about 50kgs of tools in my RH one (Heather claimed the LH one). Don't know how we survived without them !! Great product. I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first as everyone I know has ball bearing slides etc., but these simple one are FANTASTIC !! I have told everyone how good they are !! Luke, Chris, DCB arrived today and is great, better then i expected. The build quality and finish are second to none all i can say is WOW! the attention to detail is great. the finish on the carpet is amazing. sets up in minutes, basically self explanitory. I love it. I will take it camping next week and report back at once. Just be warned that the box it was in barely made it. it looks like fed ex had to re-seal it. It arrived wrapped in black plastic. Unless you shipped it like that. either way it arrived safe and all is good. The wind shield is great as well. Thanks again and i will report back soon with pictures and a full review! | Hi Luke, I wanted to thank you for the brilliant job you did on the drawers and fridge box for the back of our 80 Series cruiser, we came up to your factory for you to measure them, then we came back to pick them up and they fitted perfect. At Easter we travelled out to Alice Springs via The Flinders Ranges, then into the Simpson Desert, altogether we covered just under 9000kms in three and a bit weeks, the Drifta gear was faultless, it was easy to live with having a place for everything and everything in its place when needed. Whenever we stop on trips people wander over and ask if I made the system, I laugh but have to admit no it's made by Drifta in Gloucester, I spoke to you at the recent 4WD Adventure Show at Eastern Creek about the fact our system doesn't have you name or Logo on it anywhere, you told me to email some photos of our car with your system and you would send us a plaque to screw on it, pics are attached. We're thinking of buying a camper trailer and I've been reading your web page about your set up, some good info there, if we do buy one and it needs a kitchen etc you'll be our first call. Hey Luke. I just cannot help myself. I have to tell you this. I have had occasion to deal with Australians over the last ten years thanks to the internet. I have found every one of them to be the most engaging and personable fellas that I have come across. And...just so you know, it is cheaper for me to order a pair of Blunnies from Australia and have them shipped to me then I can purchase them here in the US. I just read your essay on your trip to America and I must say that though the tale of adventure is great in itself, I found myself crying from laughter at the early part of the story when you first arrived in LA. It was so steriotypical Crocadile Dundee that I could not help picturing you walking around Venice Beach in your Australian garb trying to mingle with the crowd. It was well worth the read. My other favorite part is the picture of you in your oilclothe duster next to your bike in the Redwood Forest. Absolutely Classic. Man, you are an adventurer for sure. I wish that I had been as adventurous as you when I had the opportunity. I was just a little too guarded and careful. So when i arrived i had more than enough people there to assist with fitting it in and telling me how they all thought it was ace first class piece of gear. Our first impression is simple put " we love it" . we will give it a good work out these next 4 days as we are camping and will make full use of it Luke i also see you put the table between the drawers which is great , its a good height and works well for putting stuff on out of the fridge ...side of the road type. Hi Luke just a note to say how well the draws are going that you made for my SWB Patrol. These draws are very short but have worked brilliantly. We manage to get most of our tools,snatch ropes,compressor, gas cooker and first aid kit etc in them. Yep it has travelled a few thousand Km all ready (WA) so well packed not as much as a little dent or ding. I would like to say a big thank you to you and your staff for all your help. Every time I contacted you or your staff for an update etc it was friendly and helpful service 100% of time every time. Meeting dates and deadlines is not easy but hay somehow you made it so easy for your customer. The designing and what I wanted was made so easy and I am happy to say it fits as snug as a rug. Hi Luke, we finally got to go away with our new kitchen (DCB). We loved it, the extra space, the convenience of the pumped water. It was marvelous. Thanks very much, we are very happy with it. Then I read in a forum somewhere that you could use flashing brought from Bunnings as a cheap easy version of a wind guard. |

I Just wanted to send a quick email to say how impressed I am with the drawers that you guys made for me. The back of the ute is not only more organised now but it also looks the goods. Everyone who sticks their head in the back comments on the quality and finish. Your willingness to make the unit to a custom size and the quick turn around made the whole process a pleasure. You are obviously proud of your company and the product and I would have no problem recommending Drifta to anyone who asks about the drawers. My next vehicle will be decked out with your gear again.
