I’ve been on the lookout for quite a while now for some tie down points that I can attach to the top of the drawer units…but its actually really hard to find one suitable that will – A) work with the design of our drawers, B) won’t rattle (and drive you crazy!) and, C) aren’t too expensive. So if you’re looking for some TDP’s to secure your gear, these are the 2 options available….
NOTE – both are LIGHTWEIGHT and not suitable for use with ratchet straps!!

FLUSH TDP’s ($25 each)
Very neat, well finished and recessed into the top panel of the unit so they are completely flush. The lift up D shackle is the perfect size for most tension straps, and its spring loaded so that when its not being used it sits down and stays down – so NO RATTLES!! These are great I reckon, and very popular!
SURFACE MOUNTED TDP’s ($15 each)
The surface mounted TDP’s sit about 10mm high, and they’re fixed into captive nuts so can be easily removed if needed. I can send these out fixed in, or loose so you can position yourself (very easy to fix). The D shackle sits in a rubber coated steel clip so won’t rattle.
