The DSO was the first camper trailer kitchen i designed, 12 years ago… we’ve built thousands of these great camping kitchens. When i started, most trailer companies didn’t have a kitchen, or many had just a toolbox bolted to the tailgate.. no-one had any bench space. Now many trailer companies have a steel version of our original DSO, with our folding bench space.. but like most copies, i still reckon the original DSO is the best tailgate kitchen on the market, for price, and functionality. Very lightweight, quick to setup, and with the three drawers, and lots of bench and storage space, nothing else comes close.. The DSO simply bolts to the tailgate. Shown as a RHS.. you can see this tailgate is a standard 1200 mm.. the kitchen can only be about 1050 mm long, any longer and it won’t close.. but we are a full 425 mm high. Most imported tailgate kitchens are only 300 mm high..

The front slides up on two bevels, and then slides into a slot underneath the end… the front timber leg stands up, and the steel legs drop down.. this extra leg support helps stabilise the bench space, and also the whole kitchen. The top lid now simply flips over, and locks in place..

Look at all the bench space.. all laminated, with soft sanded edges. Not one edge on any drifta kitchen isn’t routered and sanded. It’s important the top surfaces aren’t a stainless steel finish. It’s like cooking on a mirror, it’s very glary. Also the surface can get extremely hot in the sun, and slippery, things slide off. The laminate is the best surface, just like your kitchen at home..

There is space to store your stove, even when you pack up.. Comes with the Breha hand pump, 1 m long hose and a plastic sink. Also, the DSO now comes with three drawers standard.. this kitchen is now cheaper and better value than 10 years ago.. no-one can complain of our prices going up. And still made here in a small country town, we are now Gloucesters largest employer.. why support the chinese economy when buying a tailgate kitchen..

The new red collapsible tubs are great, two wash tubs are so much better than one.. wash in one, drain in the other. See how much useable bench space there is around the stove and sink.. this is what functionality means..
