This system is different everytime we build it! The design allows for customization to suit what you need and what you want to carry. The pics here show the general idea, but exactly what we build can be worked out between you and me (Beechy). We can include a spot for a fridge, a bed base, kitchen space, drawer storage, shelving….whatever you need!
The general concept is a wall unit on the RHS..then a lower storage unit on the LHS which you can sleep on if required.
The RHS unit can be built to suit what you need. This one was made up of a few slide out drawers, drop down doors into cupboard space plus some open cubby holes down low to make use of the space around the wheel arch.
The LHS is normally a slide out storage drawer like shown here.
Heaps of storage – ideal to keep all of your gear stores safely and easy to access.
A couple of drawers for cutlery, cups, etc..
And there’s a nice hidden space below the lower drawer which is easy to access – just trying to make use of all the space so there’s no waste.
The slide out table we offer is a must! This awesome bit of gear can be used as a bench when half slid out like this….
…or set up free standing with the legs attached top the bottom of it!
One popular option is to put a hined up bed extension on the side – makes the sleeping space full width…
…this then folds away neatly when you need the bed down so you have a walkway / seat facility.
We can also take care of any 12V work needed – we have a full time autolec on the books here at Drifta – so we’re the one stop shop!
You also have full use of the space around the wheel arch’s with the lift off side wings for easy access.
SIMILAR LAYOUT – DIFFERENT FINISH!
Here’s the same style of fit out, but the RHS wall unit is finished in the black stained timber. This one also has SMEV sink and stove units built in…plus a slightly different configuration for the RHS wall unit. This Troopy also had the GULL WING windows (fitted elsewhere) so we built the wall unit to have access from through the window.
Here’s some other pics of a similar set-up in another Troopy….
