If you need the fridge so its easy access from the rear then this could be the unit for you! The fridge is fitted onto a DSS fridge slide, then the 2 drawers fill the remaining space on the other side (can go either side). This unit is higher so consideration is needed for the amount of space left above – as a guide the top level will finish approx. 90mm higher than the height of your fridge (allowing for material + fridge slide + clearance). Custom built unit – each unit is individually built to suit your fridge, your Troopy and what you need. Lots of accessories available so can option-it-up to suit you.
Solid top – full length / width…ideal to sleep on top of, or even just a great storage space for all your gear.
2 x easy slide out Drifta drawers – using plastic strips to run the drawers means easy sliding, plus they are super light weight (unlike bearing drawer runners).
The drawers are normally maximum 1500L each (approx.)…which as you can see is a nice long set of drawers, so heaps of storage space – again helped by us using plastic strip runners which are very compact.
The fridge slides out quickly and easily – use your own slide or get a Drifta DSS built in (recommended as more compact fridge slide option).
One modification (optional) is to extend the fridge slide and add an open top box in front that slides out with the fridge – great easy access storage.
At the front of the unit we normally build in 2 x hatch/box sections – this is because the drawers / fridge don’t use the full length, so the hatch’s make use of this space for storage.
Or alternatively we can do some drop down doors that you access from the front (seats folded forward) – modification fee applies.
And we can also include a water tank – these 55L poly tanks are very good value (stainless tanks also available).
The slide out table is OPTIONAL, but really it’s a MUST! It can be used when slide half way out as a bench, or even set-up free standing on the ground like shown here!
We can also take care of any 12V work needed – we have a full time autolec on the books here at Drifta – so we’re the one stop shop!
You also have full use of the space around the wheel arch’s with the lift off side wings for easy access.
This particular customer wanted 2 fridges so we made the DSS slide longer with space for both fridges.
One as a fridge and one as a freezer!
