This is a SUPER long wheel base Hiace van…so its longer, wider and higher than a normal Hiace. With the extra width its possible to have a walkway down the middle like shown here.
With this can we made a fridge box with pull out fridge slide (DSS), then 2 drawers plus Drifta’s unique slide out table on the RHS. This fridge here is quite low so we also managed to fit in an extra table above the fridge – handy if you have lots of people!

…plus the table – this can be used as a bench (like shown here), or removed completely and set up free standing. Awesome!!

The fridge slides out on our DSS fridge slide – these slides are custom made to fit your fridge and best fit the set-up you get….so they are really space efficient.
The main unit was long enough for a double bed…so we built in 2 storage boxes with lift off hatches up the front for internal access storage.
And we installed a full dual battery system to power the fridge, lights…plus any other 12V accessories required. This is the Baintech panel we use – these are very neat.
This particular van has a bench seats – suited a family of up to 5 people….
And the seat then folded flat to make a small bed up front for the kids! I made the main unit just the right size to fit up to the folded seat so we could fit everyone in comfortably :)
Again…this is just an example of a layout…maybe exactly what you need, or maybe good to give you a few ideas to incorporate into the layout you already have in mind.
