VAN FITOUTS – EXAMPLE #6 – OPTION 3 – TRAY FOR KITCHEN

This is the “Top of the Range” option for the operation of the kitchen! The kitchen sits in a steel tray which is mounted on the heavy duty stainless steel runners – means you can slide it in/out easily with no lifting…ideal for quick stops and everyday use. Then if you want to set the kitchen up remotely from the vehicle you lift it out of the tray and open up the legs attached to the bottom of it. Legs are fully adjustable so can accommodate good working height plus you can always get it nice and stable/level no matter how uneven the camp site!

STOVE INFORMATION / OPTIONS

The Drifta slide out kitchen can be made to suit most stoves – we customize the space as needed. The stoves we recommend these days are ones that don’t required a big bulky gas bottle – here’s some info to help you…

• Check out this popular stove that we supply (photo's below) – the Primus Kinjia is a premium quality 2 burner stove and runs on the disposable butane gas cannisters….    https://www.drifta.com.au/product/primus-kinjia-stove/
• If you are installing a compatible 12v system – using a 240V induction hob is a good option. No gas and no flame means you can use this stove even during a total fire ban. You do need a high powered battery system and inverter to power induction when you are off grid – we can advise what you need (can also install 12v power system for you).
• The bigger your stove the more space it requires, which means less storage space for other items within the kitchen unit. So a compact stove (like both the above options) is recommended.
