The Troopy is the ultimate vehicle for touring Australia (and beyond). Drifta are proudly pioneers in custom making touring systems for the Troopy – and our Troopy #6 style system is currently one of our most popular builds. This design works well with a pop top installed, but also a standard roof is fine.

Design the layout you need – cabinetry design, floor plan layout, sizing of drawers/cupboards/storage is all customized to your specs
Custom sizing – all cabinetry is sized to fit with your gear (fridge, etc)
Brain storm ideas – we have done a lot of builds so have lots of ideas…but we are always ready to hear new ideas also
Finishes – natural timber, black/aluminium, carpeted – laminated work tops or timber slab tops…lots of choice
12v power systems – from basic to premium spec – Lithium, solar, 240V power for induction/coffee machines, hot water systems, anything…!
Camp/4wd accessories – awnings, chairs, stoves, recovery gear, more.
Each system we build is different in some way. Some are similar, some are total one off’s. Check the video’s and photo’s below for inspiration – then contact Beechy and the team and they will work with you to turn your vision into reality.
The general concept is rear opening drawers (seat/bed on top), a central walkway and the wall unit for internal storage. Mostly the seat/bed goes on the LHS and the wall unit on the RHS….but it can be opposite if required. The design is dependent on things like what style / size of fridge….internal/external cooking….the style of 12v install / accessories you require….plus also your general taste on looks and finish.

Similar to the EXAMPLE 1 – but 2 drawers (stacked) on the LHS and the RHS wall unit is finished in black / stainless plus a built in space for the fridge
The workbench is made the exact height of the fridge which works well, plus fridge by the rear door is easy access from both inside & out
Here we built in easy access to a cassette toilet + 2 cleaning fluids
Hinged lid so the toilet can be seated in situ (or easily lifted out)
The slide out lap bench is great
Plus the drop bench on the front creates even more area giving you optimum bench space when needed
Mostly we mount all the 12v gear in the front of the wall unit (behind drivers seat). Here you see 200ah lithium, 2600W inverter + Dueotto hot water system
So it’s out of sight/harm but also easy to access. In this section stores the induction cooktop.

Can be used half out as a bench or set up free standing on the ground.
All these systems are suitable for any Troopy
Any age, any condition, factory roof / pop top…whatever you got we can fit it out :)
Here we built in a sink + gas stove into the bench top both had glass lids.
Very handy although does reduce useable work bench space.
We then built the slide out bench at the front to create extra work space
This slides out above the fridge
The large cupboard above at the front of the all units works well…plus we can make it open both ends so if you have a gull wing you can access through from the outside also.
Plus another gull wing passengers side to more easily access the fridge
And this layout is a different approach. All lift lids for access (no drawers)
And a slide out kitchen + fridge through a hatch in the passengers side.
The fridge is accessible from both inside and outside :)
